Gamezone in Jena: Play together, discover and have fun
Controller in hand, friends around, and lots of shared learning fun: At Gamezone in the Ernst-Abbe Library Jena, youths aged 12 and older gather to play video games together. At the gaming tower in the youth area, a vibrant family and youth experience is created, where teamwork, communication, and enjoyment of digital gaming are the focus.
Gaming with Friends in the Youth Library
Every Wednesday from 3 PM to 6 PM, Gamezone invites you to play video games together. Young people can contribute their own game ideas, compete with each other, or explore digital worlds cooperatively. The offering creates a protected meeting point where playing together and social contacts go hand in hand.
Aged Appropriately and Well Organized
Gamezone is aimed at youths aged 12 and older. Controllers are loaned at the information desk in the youth area against a deposit. Acceptable deposits include a library card, student ID, monthly pass, or identity card. This clear regulation supports responsible handling of the equipment and ensures an orderly process.
Digital Learning Experience with a Sense of Community
Gaming not only fosters enjoyment but also important social skills. By playing together, young people learn to follow rules, make agreements, show consideration, and find solutions as a team. The library combines digital media education, encounters, and age-appropriate leisure activities in a central location in Jena.
Option for Younger Gaming Fans
For younger children, the Ernst-Abbe Library offers Game On. This takes place on Thursdays from 3 PM to 6 PM in the workshop and is aimed at children up to 12 years old who want to play together and make social contacts.
Conclusion: A Special Meeting Point for Youth
Gamezone offers youths aged 12 and older a free and accessible family and youth offering right in the heart of Jena. Playing together, children's laughter, new encounters, and digital learning experiences make the afternoon a varied shared time. Those who like video games and enjoy playing with others will experience an open and well-organized gaming time in the youth library.
