Gamezone in Jena: Play together, discover, and have fun
On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, the youth area of the Ernst-Abbe-Bibliothek Jena will transform into a meeting point for gaming fans aged 12 and up. From 3 PM to 6 PM, young people can play video games together with friends at the gaming tower and enjoy a relaxing time in the library.
Gaming Tower and Shared Gaming Experience
The focus is on playing together at the gaming tower. Young people experience digital games not alone but as a social activity with interaction, teamwork, and shared learning experience. This fosters children's and youth culture, creativity, and a sense of community in a safe environment.
Ages Appropriate and Well Prepared
Gamezone is aimed at young people aged 12 and older. Controllers can be borrowed at the information desk in the youth area against a deposit. Acceptable deposits include a library card, student ID, monthly pass, or identity card. This clear regulation supports a safe and well-organized process.
An Educational Place with Digital Learning Fun
The Ernst-Abbe-Bibliothek combines media, education, and leisure. The age-appropriate gaming offer promotes not only joy and curiosity but also communication, cooperation, and a conscious approach to digital media. For younger gaming enthusiasts, the library refers to the offer Game on, which takes place on Thursdays from 3 PM to 6 PM in the workshop.
Conclusion: Fun in the Heart of Jena
Gamezone offers young people an open meeting point for shared video gaming, new encounters, and relaxed afternoon hours. Those who want to combine gaming, friends, and learning fun will experience a special family and youth experience in the Ernst-Abbe-Bibliothek. Admission is free and the venue is accessible.
