Build aircraft and explore the world of STEM experiments
During MINTWednesday at the Ernst-Abbe-Library Jena, the workshop transforms into a lively place for curiosity, children's laughter, and collaborative tinkering. Children from primary school age and adults experiment together with witelo e.V. and discover how exciting mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology can be in everyday life.
Take off with imagination
On October 28, 2026, aircraft will be in the spotlight. Young visitors build their own flying objects and test how construction, shape, and movement interact. Through this, playful learning experiences arise that foster creativity, spatial thinking, and problem-solving actions.
Open offer for families
MINTWednesday starts at 4:00 PM in the workshop on Level 0. The experiment boxes from witelo e.V. invite to independent testing and joint exploration. Friends can be brought along; registration is not required.
Age-appropriate, child-friendly, and safe learning
The offer is aimed at children from primary school age. The open working method gives families space for their own questions, different learning paces, and joint research. While building and testing, children experience directly how an idea becomes a visible result. This combination of play, development, and practical learning experience makes MINTWednesday a special family experience.
Free admission and barrier-free
The event is free of charge and designated as barrier-free. Families can participate without prior registration and spend a relaxed, inspiring time together at the Ernst-Abbe-Library.
Conclusion: Tinkering, marveling, and discovering together
MINTWednesday combines creative crafting with child-friendly science. Families can expect an open afternoon full of curiosity, movement, and learning fun. Those who want to see how children research and invent with their own hands should attend this free family offer live in Jena.
