New Designs, Great Joy: Puzzle Exchange in Jena
When the leaves fall outside, the cozy puzzle season begins at the Ernst-Abbe-Library Jena. At the puzzle exchange for young and old, families discover new designs, bring their favorite puzzles, and trade them for exciting challenges for the next round together.
Search, Trade, and Marvel Together
In the workshop of the library, young and old puzzle fans meet who have already put all the pieces together at home. The exchange transforms familiar games into new family experiences and brings fresh ideas to the table. Children learn how to select, compare, and share together.
Age-Appropriate Learning Fun with Every Piece
Puzzling playfully promotes concentration, visual perception, patience, and problem-solving thinking. Additionally, shared family puzzling creates opportunities for conversation and valuable time together. The event combines child-friendly learning fun with curiosity, independence, and a nice sense of community.
Bring Well-Kept Puzzles
Only complete puzzles in good condition are intended for the exchange. This way, the joy of new designs is maintained, and every family finds a reliable game for the next puzzle round. Please just bring your own puzzle to the library.
Entry and Venue
The puzzle exchange will take place on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM in the workshop of the Ernst-Abbe-Library Jena. Admission is free. The offer is aimed at both young and old puzzle fans and creates a relaxed, safe environment for playing and discovering together.
Joy of trading, children's laughter, and a new design for home: This family experience invites you to spend the autumn holidays creatively and communally. Those who love puzzles will experience a colorful selection, new encounters, and learning fun with every laid piece in Jena.
