Read Aloud! brings children's eyes to shine
When stories come to life, a small journey full of imagination, wonder, and children's laughter begins for children. At Read Aloud!, the Ernst-Abbe-Library Jena invites families every Friday to a cozy reading hour in the children's library.
Shared time with stories
On Friday, October 16, 2026, listening together will be the focus from 4:00 PM. Children aged 3 and older discover age-appropriate stories and experience how pictures and words stimulate their imagination. For parents, this creates a relaxed family experience with valuable time spent together.
Reading joy and learning fun for little listeners

Family-friendly and uncomplicated
The event is aimed at children aged 3 and older and is free of charge. Pre-registration is not necessary. The venue is designated as barrier-free, allowing families to attend the reading hour with ease and without significant planning effort.
A special afternoon in the children's library
Amidst books, familiar voices, and exciting stories, a warm atmosphere is created where children can calm down while discovering new worlds. Read Aloud! is a loving program item for families who want to connect literature, imagination, and shared time together.
