VORgelesen!: Dive into fantastic stories together
When children sink into a story, a special family experience is created: The series VORgelesen! invites to a child-friendly reading hour every Friday at the children's library of the Ernst-Abbe-Bücherei Jena. On Friday, November 13, 2026, the free event begins at 4:00 PM and is aimed at children aged 3 and above.
Reading fosters closeness, curiosity, and joy of learning
A read-aloud story opens doors to new worlds. Children listen, marvel, laugh, and playfully develop a love for language and books. The shared time strengthens attention, imagination, and language comprehension. For families, it creates a calm, inspiring moment in the midst of everyday life.
Age-appropriate and child-friendly design
VORgelesen! is designed for children aged 3 and above. At this age, stories promote language development, expand vocabulary, and encourage conversations about feelings, characters, and experiences. Parents accompany their children in a safe environment and experience how focused listening gives rise to their own questions and ideas.
An uncomplicated family afternoon
The event takes place at the children's library of the Ernst-Abbe-Bücherei Jena in the city center. Pre-registration is not necessary. Admission is free. The event page also indicates that the location is barrier-free. Families can come without much organizational effort and enjoy children's laughter, books, and imaginative learning experiences together.
Conclusion: Reading as valuable shared time
VORgelesen! combines the joy of reading, closeness, and child-friendly education. Families can look forward to a relaxing reading hour that sparks curiosity and enhances enjoyment of stories. Anyone wanting to give their child a warm, inspiring afternoon will experience a loving family offering around the book on November 13, 2026, in Jena.
