Safely explore digital reading worlds
Between printed books and digital libraries, a world full of possibilities opens up. The digital consultation of the Ernst-Abbe-Bibliothek Jena offers practical support on October 28, 2026, for anyone with questions about their E-Reader, Onleihe, or the research portal Genios.
Individual help for E-Readers
The focus is on specific concerns from the digital reading everyday life. Visitors receive understandable support for using their E-Readers and accessing electronic books, audiobooks, and other digital media offerings from the library. The consultation combines media literacy with reading promotion, creating a straightforward entry into the world of digital literature.
Onleihe and Genios explained clearly
The Onleihe expands the traditional library visit with a flexible digital loan. Those with questions about registration, research, downloads, or device usage will find a personal point of contact at the digital consultation. The research portal Genios is also included as a tool for searching newspaper and magazine content.
A personal author encounter with digital reading
Even if there is no reading in the classical sense, the format has its own reading atmosphere: In direct conversations, digital language and knowledge transfer becomes tangible. The calm environment of the Ernst-Abbe-Bibliothek allows for a focused, practical literary experience and strengthens participation in contemporary forms of reading.
Conclusion: Secure access to the digital library
The digital consultation is aimed at everyone who wants to use E-Readers, Onleihe, or Genios more safely. The free event takes place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 2 PM in the Ernst-Abbe-Bibliothek Jena. A telephone or written registration beforehand secures a personal consultation spot and makes the path to digital reading easier.
