Discover digital reading worlds safely: The Digital Office in Jena
If the E-Reader does not respond as expected, if the Onleihe raises questions, or if research in the Genios portal becomes a challenge, the Ernst-Abbe Library Jena offers practical support. The Digital Office combines library expertise with individual advice and is aimed at everyone who wants to confidently use digital media.
Individual help for E-Readers and Onleihe
At the center are specific questions from daily digital reading life. Visitors receive support in using their E-Readers, accessing the Onleihe, and navigating the digital media offerings. The counseling directly addresses personal concerns and provides space for understandable explanations.
Digital reading competence in the library space
The event shows how traditional library work and modern media usage complement each other. E-Books, digital lending, and research offers expand access to literature, information, and knowledge. The Ernst-Abbe Library sees itself as a learning place where technical questions can be resolved without hesitation.
Research with Genios
The research portal Genios is also part of the counseling offer. Those looking for newspaper articles, background information, or reliable sources can have the basic research options explained to them. This makes the Digital Office an introduction to digital information competence.
A literary experience beyond the printed book
Today, literature unfolds in different formats. The Digital Office opens access to electronic books and digital knowledge resources, thereby strengthening participation in contemporary culture. In the calm atmosphere of the library, a low-threshold space for questions, exchange, and independent experimentation is created.
