Jena Weekly Market: Regional Variety in the City Center
On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the Jena Weekly Market invites you to the marketplace in Jena from 08:00 to 17:00. Visitors can experience a diverse shopping experience with regional products, seasonal goods, and fresh products for daily needs.
Fresh from the Region
Between the market stalls, fruits and vegetables, baked goods, cheese, fish, as well as regional meat and sausage products shape the market atmosphere. Seasonal goods bring autumn colors to the square, while direct marketers and vendors offer personal advice and short paths between producers and customers.
Crafts, Flowers, and Garden Products
The offer also includes plants, flowers, and other garden products. The variety of products is complemented by organic products, regional specialties, and international cheese varieties. Thus, the weekly market combines classic market culture with modern regional supply.
Marketplace with a Unique Atmosphere
The historic marketplace serves as the central meeting point for market visitors from Jena and the surrounding area. The aroma of fresh baked goods, colorful displays, and the close proximity to the providers make the visit an authentic shopping experience. The market is organized by JenaKultur | Markets & City Festivals and includes around 60 vendors depending on the season.
Important Notes for Market Visit
Admission is free. The venue is accessible. If a public event is taking place simultaneously at the marketplace, the market stalls may be relocated to the Kirchplatz, Johannisstraße, and Rathausgasse area.
