Jena today: It mostly stays dry at first – in the evening and at night, heavy rain follows

A gray weather pattern dominates in Jena on Tuesday (05.05.2026): From morning until the afternoon it remains mostly heavily overcast and initially mostly dry. It will become noticeably wetter from the evening – at night, significantly more rain can accumulate. In addition, gusts of up to 40 km/h are possible at times.

Night: The wettest period – partly heavy rain, also windy

At night (22 to 6 o'clock) it remains uncomfortable: occasional rain and windy, with significantly higher amounts compared to the day. Around 24.6 l/m² are forecast, temperatures drop to about 14 to 12 degrees. The wind comes from the west at about 8 km/h, with gusts of up to 40 km/h possible again.

All in all, Jena remains gloomy for a long time on Tuesday, but it only really gets wet in the evening and especially at night. Anyone out later should definitely expect rain and freshening gusts.
